Today’s households hold convenience as a priority. Trane’s line of programmable thermostats put you in control, giving you the temperature you want at the time you want it. You’ll also save money by programming your thermostat to change temperatures while you are away each day, in addition to choosing a wall unit that doesn’t distract from your home décor.
Trane ComfortLink™ II Control—Award-Winning Technology
In 2010, Popular Mechanics gave this programmable thermostat its Breakthrough Award, citing it as one of “The Year’s Most Transformative Products.” Its high-definition, 7-inch color display makes it stand out from the crowd, providing an easy-to-understand interface that will help you take control of your home’s system and automate your life.
The ComfortLink™ II gives you control areas of your house, allowing you to change the temperature downstairs from upstairs and vice versa, saving trips and saving electricity. Imagine being able to keep the upstairs at a completely different temperature than upstairs. This not only accounts for the varying comfort levels of family members, but it allows households with unused areas to keep those areas cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer, providing savings on electric bills.
With the ComfortLink™ II, you can customize your screens, as well, making your system look as you desire. Included with this model is a five-day weather forecast screen for your convenience. This forecast includes radar views, as well as weather alerts, using your wireless network to transmit the data to your thermostat. The ComfortLink™ II will also give alerts when your air filter needs to be changed or cleaned, as well as when maintenance is required.
The ComfortLink™ II’s easy-to-use scheduling allows you to easily set your thermostat to change temperatures after you leave for the day and cut back on an hour or two before you return home, saving energy while you’re away for the day or even out of town. This model also has remote access, allowing you to control your system from anywhere using an Internet connection or even your smart phone.
Trane ComfortLink™ Remote Thermostat—Access from Anywhere
Today’s consumer has grown accustomed to being able to do everything from one place—a cell phone. The Trane ComfortLink™ allows you to change the temperature in your house no matter where you are. As long as your phone can get to the Internet, you can adjust your thermostat, as well as check the status of any Z Wave® appliances you have. Thanks to ComfortLink’s™ weather feature, you can also use your smart phone to check the five-day forecast wherever you are.
To provide remote access, Trane has partnered with Schlage LiNK™, a respected provider of home security products. This access does require a small monthly subscription, but you’ll receive a six-month trial upon purchase of your thermostat that you’re free to cancel if remote access isn’t for you. You’ll also need a web-enabled cell phone with Internet access to log into your system from your phone, as well as having text enabled to receive alerts from your system.
The ComfortLink™ also sends notifications to your phone, letting you know when your system needs serviced. Any system alarms will also be sent to your phone, as well.
